At various times, I have worked as a sheep shearer, a genetics professor, a sheep farmer, a photographer, a leather garment manufacturer, a science writer, and a teacher of psycho-spirituality. Interspersed with these endeavours, I have performed on stage as a singer, an actor, and a poet.
For many years, I regarded the twists and turns of my life as a confusing jumble of vaguely related choices. Each choice seemed so very important in the moment—but I struggled to find a thread that wove them into any sort of totality… any sort of self identity… any sort of destiny…

doing little things like observing the birds in my backyard and on the estuary where I walk, planting a vegetable garden, and propagating native plant species. Then—as I turned 60—I began to have a series of dreams that were grounded in a female presence who appeared to be Mother Nature herself. As I explored these dreams, it became apparent to me that—through Her eyes—my life was far from a disjointed jumble. Instead, my life experiences were revealed as a beautiful flow choreographed to prepare me to embrace my own True Nature—with each experience finely crafted to allow the expression of some aspect of my Nature.
